John R. Gagliardo, executive vice president of development and construction for GNP Realty Partners, has been appointed by Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot as a commissioner for the Michigan Avenue Special Service Area.

Congrats John Gagliardo

Special Service Areas (SSAs), commonly known as Business Improvement Districts in other cities, are local tax districts that fund expanded services and programs, augmenting the services and programs provided by the City of Chicago. As a commissioner, Gagliardo will assist in overseeing the district and recommend annual services and initiatives to improve the city.

“I look forward to building an even bigger partnership with the City of Chicago and the people of our great city,” said Gagliardo. “I will continue to fight for our [district] best interests and look forward to engaging with Mayor Lightfoot and the administration in all-new ways to address the challenges of the moment and the future.”
